100% reliable [Open Thread]

Last week’s quote (You shame science with your lies.) was from this Scary Go Round strip. I only discovered Scary Go Round a couple weeks ago but it’s already one of my favorite webcomics. If you have a few hours, you will be well rewarded by reading through the archives. Also, J. D. Jackson’s indispensible textbook Classical Electrodynamics should absolutely be retitled Electromagnetism: One Bad Mother.
New quote is difficulty: Formidable, 4 points.

wow, that comic is awesome… then again, i’m really tired, and i’ve been known to like really crazy comics when tired. I wish I could remember the one I found when I was really really tired that one time. Unfortunately, I don’t. Something about a game shop with a wildly christian owner being deluded by his sister into selling violent games… or maybe that was another comic. Anyways:
“You are going to have to speak up friend, I do not understand sonar so good.” – this really cracked me up ^^

That webcomic (about the conservative game shop) is called Sore Thumbs, at http://www.sorethumbsonline.com. I don’t follow it, although I liked the art.
Ryan and his bat friend are great. I’m also partial to the Robotania storyline, and will instantly order a “Welcome to Robotania” shirt if there is another print run.
“Reality is a pie of which I do not require another slice.”

Oh, oh, I wanna ramble about random webcomics!
Here’s one a started reading only a few strips ago. That is, nearly a year ago, but it’s a monthly comic. It’s called “Copper”, and can be found at:

The art is fantastic, the content is fantastic… Go check it out, or you’re a bad person.
On another note… my favorite non-canon comic strip (read: not PA, not PVP, not Sluggy, etc) has become Schlock Mercenary. The plot is ongoing, dynamic, and very good. The humor can be quite clever and even intelligent. The art has, over the years, gone from “bad” to the low end of mediocre, but it’s one of the comics that never really lets me down. Another plus is that the guy is even more anal than Gabe & Tycho about regular updates–at any given time, he has a week to a month of finished strips sitting in a pile on his desk, and even more that need to be inked or colored or something like that out. Check it out, though since it’s a plot-driven strip and it’s been daily for several years now, there’s a lot to read (can be a good or bad thing).
